Auror Core

Auror Core is the foundation of the Retail Crime Intelligence platform, capturing and connecting intelligence from retail crime incidents to drive coordinated action and reduce harm and loss. It includes modules for frictionless incident reporting (Intel), AI-powered offender matching (Connect the Dots), case management and collaborative investigations (Investigate), strategic analytics (Insights), and operational workflows (Audit). Together, these modules turn fragmented retail crime data into the connected intelligence layer that powers the Auror Network.

The Intel module removes friction from reporting with on-the-go capture, including a dedicated mobile app, voice reporting with AI-assisted extraction, linked video evidence through trusted integrations, and an intuitive workflow. Every incident becomes structured data from the outset, with consistent fields and high-quality evidence powering the connected intelligence that helps identify repeat offenders and build prosecutable cases. As more incidents are captured, intelligence sharpens and the platform's ability to surface repeat behavior. 

The Connect the Dots module surfaces the people driving the most harm by connecting incidents across retailers, stores, and jurisdictions. The Investigate module then enables retailers to build investigations about repeat offenders (or groups of offenders), invite law enforcement or other retailers to join the investigation, and provide law enforcement with a clearly documented record of investigation and associated evidence to aid prosecution of high-harm offenders. This allows officers to receive structured intelligence securely through the platform, often eliminating the need to visit stores to manually gather evidence and reducing the time from incident to prosecution.

The platform helps users to collect and share only information that is relevant to protecting them and their community from harm, and assisting with public safety and crime prevention. Auror also helps users limit access to information to a closed group of trusted users and protect information with strong security safeguards, deleting information when no longer needed. The platform has been built using Privacy-by-Design principles and we regularly undertake Privacy Impact Assessments to continually improve our privacy practices. Auror Core covers the complete Retail Crime Intelligence workflow: reporting, offender matching, investigation, collaboration, and analytics. Risk Detection, which includes Vehicle Recognition (LPR/ANPR) and Auror Subject Recognition (ASR), extends the platform into real-time proactive detection, generating alerts when known high-risk individuals or vehicles enter a retailer’s premises. The two work together: Core builds the verified intelligence on persons and vehicles of interest, and Risk Detection activates it in real time to prevent harm before an incident unfolds.
