Auror has today partnered with New Zealand’s largest telecommunications company, Spark NZ, to rollout its retail crime reporting and intelligence platform to more than 50 stores across the country to help keep their people safe.

Auror’s platform will give Spark's store teams a faster and more consistent way to record incidents, while providing better visibility of offending patterns and trends across its retail operations. By moving from largely manual processes to a more streamlined digital approach, Spark will be able to strengthen internal reporting processes, improve incident management workflows and gain better insights into incidents affecting its people and stores.

Spark joins a strong network of retailers across New Zealand that have been working together for over a decade to surface the scale and severity of retail crime, and working directly with police to streamline reporting, and support better crime prevention across New Zealand’s retail sector.

Spark General Manager Consumer Channels, Mandy Tomlinson said protecting people was the priority.

"Our people come to work to help New Zealanders stay connected, and they should be able to do that safely,” Tomlinson said. “Introducing Auror’s platform will make it easier for our people to report incidents and will give us better visibility of trends across our retail stores. That information will help us strengthen our processes, better support our teams and work more effectively with Police when required.”

Auror Vice President Australia and New Zealand Brett Farley said, “the way retailers and police in New Zealand are working together through digital collaboration and information sharing to clamp down on retail crime is genuinely world-leading, and it’s fantastic to help make Spark NZ a part of that. What matters to us is keeping people and stores safe. We’re on a mission to reduce violent retail crime by 50% in 5 years, and we’re privileged to work with Spark NZ to help make that a reality across the country.”
